During Covid, artists Janet Morgan and graphic novelist Susanna Plotnick sought refuge on Coney Island. There was plenty to draw, from rides to people to sky. It was quiet and eerie. Out of this work Janet created a children's book called "Coney Island Awakes" and Susanna produced a book of sketches and "That Summer, We Lived on the Beach", a haunting story inspired days at the beach.
