Sandra Forrest

I work in glass, ceramic, oils, and watercolors.

I make translucent glass mosaics and opaque ceramic and glass mosaics with whimsical ceramic figures and embellishments.

For the last three years, since leaving work as an art director, and art teacher, I have exhibited my mosaic work full time in high-end, juried art and craft exhibitions in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey, and Manhattan.

I have received many commissions including a mosaic of the marquee of “Hamilton” as an Opening Night present for Lin-Manuel Miranda. Another client designed a room with four of my mosaics built right into the walls, and I have made several transom mosaics for stores in Brooklyn.

I am currently co-writing and illustrating two middle grade graphic novels and am looking for a publisher.
